Khalifa Al Suwaidi is a research fellow at the Anwar Gargash Diplomatic Academy specializing in international relations. Prior to joining AGDA, he was a researcher at the United Arab Emirates’ Supreme Council for National Security. Al Suwaidi is the author of The UAE after the Arab Spring: Strategy for Survival (I.B. Tauris, 2023). Al Suwaidi holds a PhD in government and international affairs and an MA in international relations (Middle East) from Durham University. He also holds an LLM in international law and international relations from the University of Kent and a BA in politics from Newcastle University.
