Mai Mahmoud is a freelance researcher. Her research interests include international relations, Middle East studies, political economy, and development economics. She has worked as a research assistant at the Egyptian Foreign Policy Forum, the Middle East Center of the London School of Economics and New York University. Mahmoud earned her MSc in economics at the London School of Economics in 2015, and her BSc in banking and finance from the University of London in 2012.
