Ambassador Anil Wadhwa

Former Ambassador of India to Oman

Ambassador Anil Wadhwa was a member of the Indian Foreign Service from 1979 to 2017 and served as Indian ambassador to Poland, Thailand, Oman, and Italy. He was a secretary in the Ministry of External Affairs from 2014-16. Wadhwa served in various capacities in the Indian missions in Hong Kong, Beijing, and Geneva. He is currently a distinguished fellow with the Vivekananda International Foundation in New Delhi and serves on several corporate boards. He is married to Ambassador Deepa Gopalan Wadhwa, a former ambassador of India to Japan, Sweden, Latvia, and Qatar.
