Khaled Sifri is the CEO of Emirates Investment Bank. He joined the Dubai-based bank in 2008. Under his leadership, Emirates Investment Bank has been transformed into the region’s premier private and investment banking boutique with assets under management growing by more than 10 times over a six-year period. Prior to joining Emirates Investment Bank, Sifri held senior positions with Shuaa Capital, a regional investment firm. As head of its investment banking group, he led the team that paved the way for private companies to access the UAE’s capital markets by way of initial public offerings. Sifri started his professional career as a corporate and commercial lawyer in Kuwait. Over three decades, he contributed, in executive and advisory capacities, to the success of various businesses from the Gulf Cooperation Council and North America that are engaged in a diverse set of industries, including banking, insurance, manufacturing, real estate development, construction, and information technology. Sifri has a Juris Doctor degree in law (1984) from Catholic University, Washington, DC and a BSc in civil engineering (1981) from the University of Maryland, College Park.
