Cities and Belonging panel discussion
On July 24, AGSIW hosted a panel discussion examining the growth of modern Gulf Arab cities with Yasser Elsheshtawy, adjunct professor of architecture at Columbia University; Sarah K. Moser, associate professor at McGill University; and Farah Al-Nakib, assistant professor at California Polytechnic State University. The discussion was moderated by Senior Resident Scholar Kristin Smith Diwan.

On July 16, AGSIW hosted a roundtable discussion with Ali Rashid Al Nuaimi, chairman of Hedayah, the International Center of Excellence for Countering Violent Extremism; Maqsoud Kruse, executive director of Hedayah; and Yousef Al Obaidli, director-general of the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque Center.
