Abdulrahman Alghannam is an assistant professor of media studies at King Faisal University, Saudi Arabia, specializing in media economics and transnational cinema studies, particularly within emerging markets. His research has been published in various academic platforms, and he actively engages with the community through initiatives aimed at enhancing film culture in Saudi Arabia and the Gulf region. He earned his PhD in film studies from the University of St Andrews’ Institute for Global Cinema and Creative Cultures and holds a master’s in mass communication from the University of Central Missouri.
