Gulf Arts and Culture Symposium: Performances and Reception

Artist and Architect
Kosmas Nikolaou is currently a resident with Alserkal Avenue in Dubai. He studied fine arts and architecture in Milan and in Ioannina and Volos, Greece. Nikolaou has participated in group shows such as: “a fresh,” National Museum of Contemporary Art; “The Ark: Old seeds for new culture,” Benaki Museum. He has worked as assistant to Els Hanappe, artistic director for the ITYS Institute for Contemporary Art and Thought. In the frame of his artistic research he has curated group shows such as “Visit” and in collaboration with Chrysanthi Koumianaki “Days After” and “in the mouth of the wolf. Die wolf, die!”. Along with Paky Vlassopoulou and Chrysanthi Koumianaki, he is co-founder of the artist-run space 3 137 in Athens.
