Sardar Aziz

Sardar Aziz is a researcher, analyst, and columnist as well as a former senior advisor to the Kurdistan Parliament. His areas of interests are the China-Iraq and Iraqi Kurdistan relationship, the democratic civil-military relationship in Iraq and Kurdistan, and governing and institutions. He has published extensively on the Chinese-Iraqi relationship in both Kurdish and English. Aziz has published with the Washington Institute for Near East Policy, the Emirates Policy Center, Clingendael: the Netherlands Institute of International Relations, and others.

He is currently working on a German Foreign Ministry project on being a member of parliament in Iraqi Kurdistan.
