Sean Evers became founder and managing partner of Gulf Intelligence in 2009, which has established itself as the leading strategic communications advisory firm servicing the Middle East energy sector. He enjoyed 20 years as an international print and broadcast journalist with some of the world’s most respected media companies, including Financial Times, BBC, and Bloomberg. Evers has had the privilege to interview some of the Middle East’s most influential leaders in politics and business over the last two decades, including Saudi Arabia’s Ali al-Naimi and all the energy ministers of the Gulf Arab states, Iraq and Iran, Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak, Lebanese Prime Minister Rafiq Hariri, Iranian President Mohammad Khatami, and Saudi Prince Alwaleed bin Talal. Evers attained a BA in international relations and economics from the University of Notre Dame in Indiana and received his law degree from the National University of Ireland, Galway. He has spent his career building ground-breaking media enterprises, starting with the award-winning Punchbag Productions, across the United Kingdom and Ireland, securing the top award at the 1992 Edinburgh Festival. In 1997, Evers was recruited by Bloomberg to build the media company’s Middle East network from Cairo to Tehran, culminating in Dubai being designated as the firm’s fourth global hub in 2008.
