AGSIW Non-Resident Fellow Fahad Nazer discussed Saudi Arabia and rumors of the kingdom’s inability to weather turbulent times, including the war in Yemen and declining oil prices, in The Hill. Nazer responded by observing that “…these prognosticators are overlooking the fact that the Saudis have coped with more severe oil slumps in the past, while underestimating the political acumen of Saudi royals as well as the improved capability of Saudi Arabia’s internal security services and military forces.”
Nazer was also quoted in an article by Voice of America, discussing the Saudi government’s response to drug trafficking within its borders.
