Adrian Ellis

Chair, Global Cultural Districts Network

Adrian Ellis is the co-founder and director of the Global Cultural Districts Network, an international collaborative network aimed at developing and connecting cultural districts. Previously, Ellis founded AEA Consulting, a cultural strategy firm working with cultural organizations globally, and served as executive director of Jazz at Lincoln Center. He has also worked with the Conran Foundation in London and the United Kingdom Treasury and Cabinet Offices. He holds a BA and an MA from University College, Oxford and completed additional graduate studies at the London School of Economics.

This panel, part of the 2018 Gulf Arts and Culture Symposium, examined the proliferation of art districts in Gulf cities, covering the involvement of government agencies and the private sector in the development of art districts and consider urban and architectural strategies for integration of these districts within the city.
