Founder and President, Nasser Saidi & Associates; Former Chief Economist and Head of External Relations, DIFC Authority
Nasser H. Saidi is the founder and president of Nasser Saidi & Associates. He previously served as the chief economist and head of external relations of Dubai International Financial Centre and executive director of the Hawkamah-Institute for Corporate Governance between 2006 and 2012. Saidi was the minister of economy and trade and minister of industry of Lebanon between 1998 and 2000. He was also the vice governor of the Central Bank of Lebanon from 1993-98 and 1998-03. He has written a number of books, including Corporate Governance in the MENA countries: Improving Transparency & Disclosure. Saidi holds a PhD and an MA in economics from the University of Rochester, an MSc from University College, London University, and a BA from the American University of Beirut.
