Sultan Althari

Founder, Harvard Saudi Student Association

Sultan Althari is a master’s candidate in regional studies (Middle East) at Harvard University. Althari established Harvard’s first official Saudi Student Association, a university-wide group dedicated to increasing cultural awareness about Saudi youth and the kingdom more broadly. He graduated cum laude from Boston College with a BA in political science and a concentration in Islamic civilization and societies. During his time at Boston College, Althari’s studies centered around public policy, political philosophy, and the socioeconomic development of the Middle East. For his thesis, Althari analyzed the correlation between Saudi youth empowerment and national development.
