Tingyi Wang is an assistant professor at the Institute for International and Area Studies at Tsinghua University. He is also a visiting professor at the Gulf Studies Center at Qatar University. Wang is an honorary research fellow at the University of Exeter, associate fellow at the King Faisal Center, and fellow of the Royal Society of Arts. He was a postdoctoral fellow at St Antony’s College at the University of Oxford (2020-21) and has previously taught at Schwarzman College at Tsinghua University. Wang was a visiting scholar at the University of Cambridge, American University of Sharjah, and King Faisal Center. He received a BA in Arabic language and literature from Peking University, finished Master of Law training, and holds a PhD in political science from Tsinghua University. He also studied at Cairo University, Princeton University, and the University of Oxford as a visiting student.
