Yevgeniya Korniyenko

Senior Economist, International Monetary Fund

Yevgeniya Korniyenko is a senior economist in the International Monetary Fund’s Gulf Cooperation Council division in the Middle East and Central Asia Department. Prior to her tenure as the lead desk on the United Arab Emirates, she was a senior economist in the Strategy, Policy & Review department, working on advanced economies and external sector issues. Before joining the IMF, she worked in the Financial Stability department of the Bank of England, in the Office of the Chief Economist at the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, and at the National Bank of Ukraine. Her main research interests are in international finance and trade. Yevgeniya holds an MPA in economic and public policy from the London School of Economics and a PhD in economics from Kyiv National Taras Schevchenko University.
