For The New York Times, Senior Resident Scholar Hussein Ibish discussed the Saudi government's focus on tourism and entertainment at a time of increased Western scrutiny.

Ibish additionally commented on the potential for rapprochement between Gulf Arab countries and Israel for The Atlantic.
