On July 24, AGSIW hosted a panel discussion with Ziad Daoud, chief Middle East economist at Bloomberg Economics, and Sona Varma, lead economist for the Middle East and North Africa region at the World Bank, critically examining the current state of economic diversification initiatives in Gulf Arab states. Senior Resident Scholar Robert Mogielnicki moderated the discussion.
