On February 8, AGSIW will co-host the launch of an International Monetary Fund report, with Erik Lundback and Monica Malik, on the economic recovery outlook for Gulf countries. Robert Mogielnicki will moderate the discussion.
This report is based on the discussions held during a workshop co-hosted with the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung on Shia communities in Iraq, Lebanon, Saudi Arabia, and Kuwait.
The recent thaw in relations seems to be a positive step for these former regional adversaries toward deepening ties, but unresolved political conflicts may continue to fester.

Robert Mogielnicki was appointed to the board of advisors of Henley & Partners, a residency and citizenship advisory firm, where he also regularly authors the Middle East and North Africa section of the firm’s quarterly Global Mobility Report.
